Contest 2 Ideas?

No reason we can't just have some fun contests and challenges. I don't have the money at the moment to hold any paid contests.

That's what I mean, contests are fine, but handing out prize money isn't good with so few members.

I'd suggest a video contest showing off guns, since I want to see this site grow in this area. Also I think everybody would have enough parts for this, if that's a problem for people.

Why do you want them to grow when they're already the most popular topic on Instructables, and one of the most popular on KI? This is supposed to be about all kinds of K'Nex models.

I actually think it'd be interesting to see what it'd be like having a contest where you'd have to build something that uses all three types of pieces (regular, micro, and brick). Trust me, there's nothing wrong with micro pieces, and while the bricks aren't something I'm personally all that interested in, it'd be interesting to see how you can fit them together. And I don't mind the Micro pieces at all. I think they can add an interesting flair to certain designs if you can position them right.

Tell me what you think of this:

Objective: Build the tallest K'Nex tower you can with 100 pieces of your choosing that can support a tennis ball at the very top. Only K'Nex pieces allowed.

I like it! Should be fun to see the different concepts. I'm assuming it should be freestanding.

I have a feeling all of us will design pretty much the same kind of tower, so maybe we could do some kind of style part of it? like the best looking tower, along with tallest/strongest?
