Lightbulb What is this?

With the help of our users, I have created this forum to post information about the various sets K'Nex has made over the years. The first post of each model will contain information such as piece count, and photos if they can be found. Then members can comment and review the sets.

This thread can be used to help compile information. You are free to post whatever you have. Eventually we will start compiling it into individual threads. I will probably make some ahead of time too.

Shouldn't there be a breakdown of what amount of each piece is in each set? That way, people can have a more specific idea of what they get. That's what I don't like about K'Nex sets--unlike Legos, they never post the parts count on the box--you have to open it and find it in the set itself.

Well, you might wanna take a look to my gallery if you're looking for all sets.

Beginner set Unknown 1994 (?) Unknown Tub Unknown Yellow Tub

The knexosaurus came in a cardboard box, aren't there two versions of this?

Scanning copyrighted material would not end too well I think.

And feel free to post the PDF so we can take a look.

^That pdf is great!! Every piece knex ever produced is in there. Though that was before all this micro, lego stuff. Could probably use an updated one.

The only problem about your gallery is that everything is in Dutch XD. I don't think there are two versions of the Knexosaurus, they probably just came in different looking boxes (this also happened with Big Ball Factory and Screaming Serpent).

I like the idea of recording all Knex sets, it may be hard, though. I find sets on eBay I never knew about before.

Yes, this might've been a bit "against copyright".

But what about all of us looking for our manuals, and entering the basic information? ID, amount of pieces (perhaps by sort), etc..

I think I got at least a dozen of manuals to enter.

Yes, that would be perfectly acceptable.

^^ I'm pretty sure Knex made different versions of sets for NA and the UK. Lots of times you come across a set with a total different color scheme, or different pieces. Not sure why they would want to do that, as it messes everything up.

Does anyone know if the green motor on page 9 is like a TT motor. It says it's high speed.

Default Original K'nex submarine

I'm looking for the instructions to build the original Knex submarine. I think it was made in the late 90's to early 2000's. Can someone help?

I'm going to presume you mean this (sorry for the huge white backdrop, I'm still not 100% familiar with Paint yet):

You can find instructions for it online at K'Nex's website; search in the Instructions section to find it (the code number is 60020).

no i took a picture of it when I was young. and it doesn't look like that. The core is blue and the outside is made with the original yellow, and gray pieces.
