Question Hornet Swarm Dueling Coaster?

I've recently found a new roller coaster on eBay called Hornet Swarm Dueling Coaster. Does anyone know where this set is sold? I can't find it on Knex's website.

Here's the link to the eBay page I found them on.

That set looks pretty strange. I wouldn't buy it (and it's probably one of those sets that won't be sold until Januaryish, when the new sets come out).

I don't think I'm going to buy it because it looks like it's nothing but micro pieces.

^That one looks like it's made of standard pieces, so it isn't exactly the same as the ones being sold on eBay. But it would be a better buy .

They could be selling versions in both regular and micro versions...although I seriously doubt it. They've never done that before.

I just came across a roller coaster that actually has a built in video camera inside the car!

I remember several months ago Knex posted a video of that^ coaster on youtube. i saw it and posted on SSC, but within 10 min knex removed it. Its like it was an accident or something.

That will be pretty cool to be able to record rides.

Knex.com now has these sets on their website.

Lol, I just saw the video of Hornet Swarm, and it's very flimsy. I laughed so hard when I saw the loop. You can also tell the chain lifts are cheap.

What a crappy set...

I thought they were actually getting better with the Loopin Lighting, Lava Launch and the video one...but this one is awful.

^Loopin Lightning is pretty cheap, though. The chain lift on it doesn't work well at all.

I wouldn't pay 50 dollars on that set. I probably won't get Lava Launch either; 75 dollars for mostly micro pieces.

I'm not saying i would get them, I'm just saying that they are better sets then the original micro stuff... and at least the looping lighting set is somewhat realistic.

^Yeah, I like the curving track. But I wish it worked with the older track (so I can make a big coaster).

To heck with that older VV track...all my VV track comes from the Loopin' Lightning and Lava Launch sets. XD

It seems like a decent set to rack up a good amount of track and pieces. May have to get one later on.

Sorry for the small bump, but it seems like Knex can't sell this VV sets for more then 1 year. If you look at all the ones they have out right now, only about 2 are more then a year old. Atleast the SS system sets stayed for a few years.

But the sets still exist on eBay for many years afterward, don't they?

Yes, but that's not my point. My point is that Knex direct stops selling them, which means they lose there "wow" quick.

I got bored with the one micro set I got after like an hour, lol, I can see why they would want to make more designs.

^^All micro/brick sets Knex makes looses their "wow" quick anyways, even if they were sold for a longer time.

^Thats what I'm saying. The new stuff lasts for a year if that. The old sets lasted for years.
