^I got Sawblade Thrill Ride last Christmas, and it didn't work very well.
Even though my birthday is on Wednesday, I celebrated it today. I got the Loopin' Lightning Coaster, and I just finished building it. The track is different because there aren't metal rods on the ends of the track anymore, it's just plastic. The coaster is more realistic than the other micro ones because there is new curving track. I actually got this for $15.00 instead of $40.00 because I ordered a Dragon's Drop coaster, but they shipped me this one instead ![]() I also got 5 original balls from Knex.com, and I'm expecting a Ferris Coaster Wheel in the mail.

Which motorcycle set was it? OOC large, OOC micro, Knexman stunt series, or earlier? Congratulations on you ebay victories.

It was the 1996 mini set called "motorcycles". I don't have the product number handy but it was pretty old, and the original roller coaster was advertised in a little booklet that came with the box.

Just out of the box:
Dinosaurs 20+model building set. In the tradition of the racers economy set released this year, this set comes in a rectangular cardboard box with a plastic lid. Minimal printed instructions, most builds on website, and no printed inventory of pieces. 334 parts for $21 (I paid $15, it wasn't in inventory yet at TRU so they sold it to me at "clearance prices"). It contains the new contoured green slopes used as cheek pieces of the fuselage in the rescue helicopter set released 2 months ago, and 4 of the double sided friction pins that allow you to build bricks upside down, eliminating the need for inverted elements. New to K'nex's palette of parts in this set are 1. a new sound brick (dinosaur roar) 2. teeth pins (points worn off to prevent injury to small children) & 3. a completely new element for brick builds, unique to Knex, 2 contoured plates, designed to snap onto the contoured slope mentioned earlier on this post, to give you glaring vertically slip reptilian eyes. Amusingly enough, this revolutionary plate used to depict eyeballs is labled the E 1 on the studs. |

Never seen the power tower set...is that a non-US version of the power tower crane? It's definitely related, based on the panel layout and the crane design, but the set as a whole looks quite different.

I think it is the same, except the panels have a different color.

Its definitely the same design, but just different piece colors.
The Power Tower Crane was probably my fav set. I played with it for hours and hours, moving the crane, picking up the balls, dropping them, watching them go. What a awesome set, though my motor broke so i can't build it again... |

Ah, i see it now. That picture doesn't show the whole set. It looked like it was shorter or something, but the picture is just cut off.

I love Power Tower Crane, I have two
.This is the rest of the stuff I just got for my birthday; Ferris Coaster Wheel, and green gears! I got this set used off of eBay. The seller said it was complete, but it was missing quite a few pieces (I had to use pieces from my Knex collection to complete the model). I'm sort of disappointed that the cars don't have hooks to grab on to chain, so they can't work on roller coasters by themselves. Oh well, it's still a good set. I finally got green gears! I really ordered four, but one had some teeth missing. I called Knex.com, and I'm getting a replacement in the mail soon. Now I'll have to figure out some uses for them.

Just got back from helmet diving on the ocean floor in Mexico. Newly arrived is the 110 piece tough trucks set from (2009), brand new off the presses, using the the Knex 1x8 bricks [as Knex comes out with new brick elements, the old building with bricks intro sets become obsolete and are replaced with brand new designs incorporating the newest bricks to the Knex system , and usually more sophisticated builds], and from 1994 4 different Pizza Hut Knex sets from back when you got a polybag Knex set with your large Pizza! More to follow after I get used to life on the earth's surface again :-}!!!!!!!!!.

Sorry I don't have a pic to show, but the other day I was out at Wal-Mart, and just my luck they had a deal on K'Nex. So I got a Loopin' Lightning and a Lava Launch ($25 and $60, respectively). Now I can build a ball machine with micro parts once Winter Break comes around (and it bumps my total number of parts to 10,285--yes, I counted them all).
(I could now build coasters too, but I'll probably stick to ball machines anyway because I like them better. (No offense))

You lucky bastard (JK). Best deal I ever got for K'Nex online was $40 for about 600-700 of the pieces in the BABT.

Lol. some days I can barely walk though my room
But that is because I have all parts sorted out in boxes. And the boxes are pretty big.Today´s loot: 2 more Musical Carousels for 10€ each. They were 15€ cheaper each because one missed the motor and a strong white rod, and the other missed the sound module and the white rod. |

I never knew there was a strong white rod.
Maybe I will be able to buy more Knex when I get a job. I haven't bought anything since September.
