^I'd buy that if it was made out of normal pieces. I wish you could buy the red launcher separately.

I got Hyperspace Training Tower, finally! But I won't be able to open it until Christmas (that's how I got my parents to buy it for me).

I didn't mind the micro pieces. Thought they were pretty cool.

At least they can attach to standard parts, unlike my Vertical Vengeance pieces.

^Let me know if you ever plan to stop bulk buying K'Nex.

Anyway: That deal at my local Wal-Mart's still going on, I guess...$10 for an Octopus Whirl. Got me some useful pieces I can use later on (Regular-Micro rods, a bunch of other Micro and Regular pieces, and my fourth black axle rod (badly needed)).

I was out there today to restock on ever-necessary "dorm food." (Cheese and crackers, other snacks, etc.)

Smile

My latest K'nex set addition is Thunderfoot Truck (set number 10118, the instructions are copywrited at 1993, but the box says 1994. This set is an education in where K'nex started. The box uses the name K'nex but is label as produced by the Connector Set Toy Co. The instructions are printed on 2/3 of one side of a 9" x 22" sheet of glossy paper, showing 5 stages of building, each utilizing 40 or more pieces per stage. There are 265 pieces in this set. The catalogue is likewise instructive of K'nex in its infancy. It advertises 8 single model building sets, 3 multimodel sets (20, 35, and 50 builds respectively) and a a/c motor pack with transformer, motor, gears, pulleys and locking rod connectors. Absent from the system at this time are spacers or either size.

Lego builders even today look at K'nex instructions and wonder at the number of steps compressed into a single illustration, but today's instructions are very simple compared to the pioneering K'nex sets of 16 years ago!

as a kid i used to make stuff off commercial picktures (like the extra pieces of paper they add to advertise other sets) mostly they only contained one or 2 picktures
as i was to small to go buy these things and i wanted to build bigger stuff XD

sorry for going offtopic

edit (to avoid dubbelpost):
this isn't actually a new set but,
I bought 2 large boxes and a bunch of little ones to store the knex in. The little ones to sort it all out and the large ones to keep the little ones together.
not sure if i'll use the original knex cases for something, using one small black to sort the chains and little guys.

sorting everything out is a lot of work and i'm not even counting it.. also i realised my boxes are somethimes too small and that i still got to few boxes for all the different kinds of pieces.
i'm also still building on the ball machine so i can't sort everything out yet

cheers

Exclamation

I got these tabbed connectors off of eBay. They were only $12 for 100! Too bad because they're not for sale anymore.

Here's a photo:

I just bought this from an old friend: a SS set and a yellow case (the solar deluxe 20) and some small stuff like:
space rovers, western express, whirlybird helicopter and launcher series.

Talking Incomplete Loopin' Lizard (My First Ball Tower)

This is my first ball tower in the history of my machines! It's missing the balls, but I've also got a Razor from the Moto-Bots series which includes four yellow ball halves (two balls)! I have a picture as seen below;

This was a Christmas present from my parents.

The Loopin' Lizard is a pretty cool set if you want to enhance your ball machine capabilities. The Flexi-tubes aren't as interesting, but they provide some usefulness when you want to transfer balls from one track to another without running the risk of them flying off.

Edit: v Damn, are you spoiled or what?

Yeah, mine was $50.00. It was only missing a few pieces and a Knex man, but it was a great buy.

I'm also supposed to be getting crossties in the mail, which I ordered a month ago.

...and I thought having 10,000 pieces was a powerful barrier to break...
