Question When did you start building with K'Nex?

So when did you start building with K'Nex.

I don't quite remember, but I'd estimate I was around 5 or 6.

I got my first set when I was about six, but I wasn't particularly thrilled by it (I can't even remember what it's called). It was when I was eight and got a BBF that I got interested in it. I've built a lot of things, but pretty much all I've built since I was about 14 has been ball towers, and I had still built plenty before then.

My dad and I built all the SS and Original sets back when I was 6 until I was about 8. In sixth grade I picked them back up and started making my own designs.

I remember our first big set at home was the Ball Factory. So many pieces, so creative!

My first set I bought myself was the Big Classic Coaster. I build it in one day, but I was too young to fit the track on, so my brother did that, I remember them waking me up at around 11PM so I could see it in action. Good old times.

I think I was around 5 or 6 when I was first introduced to K'nex.

My first set was a rather small yellow box set with a handle. Actually used it this past semester to build something for one of my classes.

I'm coming up on my 2 year anniversary of building custom models in August. I built the original SS when I was 7, and the RR when I was 8.

First got into K'nex over 10 years ago when i got my first tub at either age 6 or 7...that was long before any gigantic sets were out so I was confined to the instruction booklet for the most part. I think the first "big" set i got was the K-Force Defense Station, but I'm nearly positive the first actual big set was the Power Tower Crane. All three of these sets were gifts from my grandparents, and I'm sure they're pretty happy they got me into K'Nex. And i'm still building stuff at almost age 18...not quite as often, but definitely bigger and better each time.

My brothers always built with Lego, but I never really got into that. For some reason Lego doesn't inspire me to be creative and make something functional. With K'nex that option is given with even the smallest set, however more is always better.

I started Christmas of 07' when I got the Vertical Vengeance. It took me 2 days to build, and I kept adjusting the track every day until I made it run almost perfectly. Then I decided to change the layout some, so I went on YouTube for ideas. The rest is history...

I got my first Knex set for my birthday when I was 5 (All Terrain Trekker). I started building a lot of stuff when I got a Roller Coaster set for my 7th birthday, but not ball machines. I tried building them, but they were all failures. I would've been better if I had Big Ball Factory. I didn't even know that BBF existed until I was 11 years old!

I believe I was 5 or 6. Couldn't really start any earlier, as they had just come out. My brother and I each received a set at some family gathering. I got a helicopter, he got a motorcycle. His was put together, and never came apart.

My, how 17 years passes...

I think I started when i was 8. When i first saw knex it was at school. They had the 20 model case with a solar motor. My first set was with two large airplaines. Then after they had brought out the knex classix series I stopped building and sold most of my knex.
But a few years ago I got the big ball factory and since then I've been making stuff with knex from time to time. (And I'm 20 years old now :P)

I started playing with knex about 1 year ago, but I got my first knex set when I was 8 as a birthday present, and never opened it due to the fact that I liked legos. That was the only set I had until I started playing.
