Default Big Air Ball Tower.

Hey guys.

I have been thinking of making a fairly small ball tower (for starters) as I have seen some amazing inventions on this site which have inspired me to build something mechanical, I have found a Big Air Ball Tower on eBay for 50 Australian dollars (I live In Australia) ,39 American dollars.

If anyone has this set, could they please tell me if it includes many good peices and if it is worth that amount of money or if I should even buy it at all.

Cheers, Woofy

Of course, Big Air Ball Tower doesn't have as much pieces as the Big Ball Factory, but it's a good set to buy for starters. I think it's worth 39 dollars, even though I bought it when it first came out for 100 dollars.

Okay, thanks for the reply.

I have just seen the Motorized Madness Ball Machine on the K'nex site.
Does this have more peices than the Big Air Ball Tower and also is it a better set?

Edit:Just found out that the Big Air Ball Tower has ended. Man that pisses me off and it only went for 26 Australian dollars!!! Looks like I have to wait even more longer to get more knex..

Cheers, Woofy

I don't really like micro Knex pieces, and that's what Motorized Madness is made of. It does have some standard pieces, though (like chain).

Ohh man that sucks. Why does K'nex have to change everything, micro knex, micro roller coasters, knex bricks??? What the Hell is going on, I wish they would bring out normal knex things again, with many peices.

Ohh well, its not gonna happen...

I will just have to wait for some ball tower type k'nex to pop up on eBay. Actually, I just thought of something. Seeing as I have quite a few peices (Rippin Rocket, Storm Mountain, Knexosuarus.) I know its not that much, but its enough to build a small ball tower. I was wondering if i could buy just the balls from K'nex seeing as you can buy coaster cars from knex?? That is the only thing I don't have for a ball tower.

Cheers, Woofy

I received the motorized madness, and its about 98% micro pieces.
But one plus is the new type of ball track that comes with it(the green pieces). They are easy to attach to any ball tower, and it comes with quite a few of them.

^you can buy the knex balls from knex but they only sell them in halves, so you gotta buy 2 inorder to make one ball.

I don't think I will buy the motorized madness as I have all normal peices. I would love the track but I could just use coaster track couldn't I?

And with the balls how much are they for 2 halves (1 ball) , and because I am from Australia do I ring/e-mail the Australian number/e-mail or the American number/e-mail as the American K'nex site has way more parts then the Australian website. Or do I just e-mail the Australian K'nex and I will get them?

Cheers, Woofy

I'm still waiting for someone who has the BABT to post a breakdown of what parts are in it myself. Anyway...

If you think you'd benefit from the kinds of pieces in the BABT (gazillions of red rods, 3D connectors, and various tubes and things), go for it. And $39 is actually a good deal for one, they used to cost about $90 IIRC. I hope this isn't too late to reply considering this discussion was had yesterday.

The auction has already finished. I thought it was not going to end so soon so I didn't bid (I usually chose whether to bid at the end) therefore I didn't get it.
