Default Marble Run V.3 Marble Pump

So after a long, long, long time of figuring, I finally came up with the first Knex Marble Pump(without bricks). Using this diagram,

I tried my best to make a pump that was reliable. Unfortunately, since there was no way to follow a set pattern of spacing, because in some places it needed to be bigger and smaller, so it is crooked, and really ugly. It just looks bad, but it works. So eventually i will build a box around it, to make it more eye appealing.

Anyways, pics and a video.

I tried to make this for normal knex balls last summer, but it turned out very flimsy and it didn't work very well. Also there is a marble pump like this on youtube made out of knex (with blocks).

That's cool! I've had an idea to do it for normal balls, and I also made one out of Legos that works well.

Out of knex bricks, which in my opinion isn't knex. This one is made with completely knex parts.

Yeah, it seems easier to do it with lego. This was very difficult to figure out though.

That is very well invented, I love it. I wonder though, how many marbles can it carry before the motor jams under the weight?

I havn't built it higher then it is right now, but I imagine that it could go another foot at least.

I've kinda lost interest on the project. Its just to hard to make reliable and I can't really build anything off of it, since the spacing is off. Plus, I don't really have the time right now.

I challenge anyone else to build a bigger and better version of this.

Sometime I'll build one with normal balls, but that will be a long time from now.
