Thumbs up Stair Lift

Hey everyone, I just made instructions for my stair lift. It's similar to Wipe Out's stair lift, but I modified a few things to make it more reliable.

Tell me what you think!

Thanks! It can go higher, like on Wipe Out there were 5 steps instead of 4. After 5 you'd have to get another motor to power the next 5, and so on. Friction is the only problem when trying to make this higher.

tut? What does that mean?

Got it. But there's no way to go higher with one motor?

Tut=tutorial. I meant to say instructions.

I think it should be possible by using gears,
but if this thing does have a lot of friction, then one motor might have trouble at powering multiple stairs

Maybe putting oil on the rods would help, it would make them more slippery (not motor oil, cooking oil). I've never tried the stronger electric motor on this, so that may enable it to go higher.

I had a few hours today, so i built this. It works great!

I see what you mean about the friction though. I think with a stronger motor, you could add maybe 3 more steps at the most.

If I ever decide to make a ball machine I'm definitely using this. Great job!
