Default Help me make this!

I need a device that will allow an axle to freely rotate in one direction, but not the other, without the use of a motor, any thoughts guys?

Thanks!

Alocke

Like a ratchet system?

You can use many things to make this, but mos simple is with a gear.

Have the gear attached to the rod, and somehow try to get a knex piece to rest on it at an angle with one of the edges meshed, so that when the gear turns, it can only turn one way, and if it trys the other way the piece will stop it. Use a rubber band to hold it down.

Kinda confusing to tell. Similar to Torque converter ratchet drive Knex k nex meccano Lego Fischertechnik fischertechnic maccano - YouTube, but small scale with blue gear and grey connector

If you do it correctly you don#t need a rubber band, gravity is enouth. Further beyond there is the option of using this gear thing out of cyber knex classic set.

I'll give anyone credit if they can build it and post a picture of it!

This is a quick thing I came up with, just to give you an idea. You can make it much stronger and apply it to whatever you are building.

That's exactly what I'm looking for thank you so much! I'll build it later tonight and make sure the system I have is compatible with that part, and when I release the machine (and the element itself) I'll be sure to give you credit for it!
