This crane was based off of the Demag CC 12600 crawler crane. It can raise both booms, lift, slew (rotate), and crawl, though slewing and crawling required human assistance. Five motors control the raising of the main boom, secondary boom, and the jib, plus the raising and lowering of the two hooks. Counterweight was added using several removable plates with coins inside.
Overall, this crane required a lot of time and patience. It utilized the best of my abilities and I feel it was one of my greatest accomplishments. |
